Where required by law, we will obtain your consent prior to implementing material changes that affect your personal data rights.
This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable global data protection laws, including but not limited to:
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE SITE.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. Your continued use of the site shall constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of any revised Privacy Policy after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.
In the event a modification materially alters your rights or obligations hereunder, we will notify you of the change. For example, we will send a message to your email address and generate a pop-up or similar notification when you access the Site for the first time after such material changes are made.
Linkasoarus is specifically designed for franchise owners who want to connect their location specific social media accounts to all of their location managers and teams while also connecting to all of their "fellow" franchisee members within their brand. Linkasoarus allows brand specific franchisees and team members to share and re-use each other's social media content via a "social media best practice sharing calendar." Linkasoarus allows these teams to post and receive social media content over the social media accounts that they have linked to their account.
Linkasoarus also offers Delivery Platform Integrations. If you choose to connect your merchant account with a delivery marketplace we support (currently Uber Eats; DoorDash is supported through reports you upload, and Grubhub and SkipTheDishes will be added as each becomes available), Linkasoarus retrieves data from that account to give you sales, payout and reconciliation reporting, menu and ratings insights and, if you turn it on, a dispute feature that shows you refund, adjustment and chargeback requests, sends them to the team members you choose, recommends a response based on statistical analysis, drafts the dispute text when you ask, and submits a dispute to the platform only when you or your team member decides to. How we handle that data is described in the Delivery Platform Integrations section below and in our Data Processing Agreement at www.Linkasoarus.com/dpa.
We collect and process personal data under the following lawful bases:
Performance of a contract
Legitimate interests (e.g., platform improvement, fraud prevention)
Consent (marketing, cookies, optional integrations)
Legal obligation
Personal identifiable information, such as your name, email address and time zone that we will collect from you when you choose to register with the Site or when you choose to participate in online chat and view and post to our message boards.
Customer Data is information about your business, your team members and your customers that is processed through the integrations you connect or the reports you upload, including Platform Data from Delivery Platform Integrations and content from your connected social media accounts. Customer Data is processed on your behalf: you act as the data controller for it, and Linkasoarus acts as your data processor (a “service provider” under U.S. state privacy laws) under our Data Processing Agreement at www.Linkasoarus.com/dpa. We use Customer Data only to provide the Services to you, to maintain, secure and improve the Services, and to produce aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you, your locations or your customers. We do not sell Customer Data.
Account data ("Account Data") is personal information that we collect from you and your devices in connection with your access to and use of our Site.
When we collect personal information from you when you register for an account, we are acting as a data controller and are processing your Account Data as necessary for the performance of our contract with you as set forth in the Terms of Use.
Financial information is data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we will collect from you when you choose to purchase, order, return, use of our Site. We store only limited financial information that is required to keep your use to the Site active. This information includes your name, billing address, and payment method expiration date. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by our payment processor, Elavon, and you are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly with your questions.
https://www.elavon.com/privacy-pledge.html
We do not store full payment card data. All sensitive payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant processors.
Browsing Data is the browsing information our servers automatically collect by cookie technology when you access and browse the Site, such as your internet protocol address ("IP address"), your browser type, operating system type, access times, language preferences, cookie data, and web history for the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing our Site.
Processing of social data is based on user consent.
Our Cookie Policy can be viewed at www.Linkasoarus.com/cookies.
When you connect Facebook to the Site, we receive your Facebook basic account information (your name, email address and profile picture) and ask Meta for permission to see the Facebook Pages you manage, to publish the posts you create or schedule in Linkasoarus to the Pages you choose, and to read how those posts perform (such as reach and engagement) so we can show you your results. We do not request access to your personal friends list, check-ins or likes. Meta shows you each permission before you connect, and you can remove our access at any time in your Facebook settings or by disconnecting in Linkasoarus. We plan to add Instagram; when we do, we will request only the permissions needed to publish to and report on the Instagram business accounts you connect, and we will update this section before that feature is available. For more information, refer to Meta’s Permissions Reference page.
To use certain features of the Site, you may be asked to connect your business accounts on Facebook and Google. From Facebook, we receive the information described in the section above. From Google, we access the Google Business Profile locations you choose to connect, so that we can show you your customer reviews and ratings and post the review replies you approve. We do not collect your gender or birth date from any social network. If you choose, we may also access the email address book of a connected account and the contacts list on your mobile device or tablet, solely to identify and tell you which of your contacts have also registered to use the Site, as described in our Terms of Use.
What we collect. When you connect a merchant account with a Delivery Platform, we retrieve the data that platform makes available for your account (“Platform Data”). Reports you upload from or about a Delivery Platform account are Platform Data too. Depending on the platform, this may include order records (order ID, items, timestamps and amounts), refunds, adjustments and chargebacks, payout and settlement records, menu and item data, ratings and comments, and limited customer information such as a customer’s name, delivery address and phone number, which the platform often masks. Uber Eats, the only Delivery Platform connected today, does not provide customer names, addresses or telephone numbers in the reports we receive. We do not store customer names, addresses or phone numbers from the DoorDash reports you upload. We store the credentials or access tokens you give us for the connection, in encrypted form.
How we connect. Where a Delivery Platform offers an official API or authorization process, we use it instead of storing your password. Where it does not and you give us your login information, we use that information only for the features you enable, and we never display a stored password back to anyone.
Why we use it. We use Platform Data to give you sales, payout and reconciliation reporting and menu, item and ratings insights, and, if you enable the dispute feature, to show you refund, adjustment and chargeback requests, route them to the team members you choose, recommend a response based on statistical analysis of past requests and outcomes, draft the dispute text when you ask, and submit a dispute to the Delivery Platform when you or an authorized team member instructs us to. We also use it to maintain, secure and improve the Services and to produce aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you, your locations or your customers.
Who can see it. Platform Data is visible only to the users of your own Linkasoarus account, and a store manager sees only the stores assigned to them. We never share order-level or customer-level Platform Data with other Linkasoarus users, other franchisees, a franchisor or brand network, advertisers, or any other third party, except the service providers listed in our Data Processing Agreement, who may use it only to provide services to us. We do not sell Platform Data. The content-sharing features described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy apply only to the social media content you choose to share, never to Platform Data. If you ask our dispute writing assistant to draft a dispute, the facts of that single refund (the order identifier, the order time, the reported issue, the refunded items, the amount charged to the store, the customer’s comment where the platform provides one, and a few of your own past successful dispute texts with all figures removed) are sent to our AI service provider, OpenAI, to write the text. It never receives your login or your access tokens, we never send it a customer’s name, address or phone number from a Delivery Platform (a customer’s comment is sent as the customer wrote it), and it does not use the data to train its models. The repeat chargeback customer list described under “Chargeback Reports You Upload” is not Platform Data; it is sent to your franchisor’s fraud team only when you or a user you authorize sends it.
Your customers. Your customers’ information in Platform Data belongs to your relationship with them and with the Delivery Platform. We process it only on your behalf. We do not contact your customers, and we do not use their information for our own marketing or for anyone else’s.
Your controls. You can disconnect a Delivery Platform at any time in your account settings or by revoking our access in the platform’s merchant tools. Disconnecting stops new data collection immediately and keeps the Platform Data already collected, so that your history is still there if you reconnect. If you ask us to delete it (write to developer@Linkasoarus.com), we delete the Platform Data from that connection within 30 days of your request and confirm the deletion in writing, except where we must keep it to comply with law, to resolve a dispute already in progress, or to enforce our agreements. Copies in routine backups are retained for 35 days and then overwritten.
The platforms themselves. Each Delivery Platform is an independent company with its own privacy policy and merchant terms, which govern what it collects and how it handles your account. We are not affiliated with Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub or SkipTheDishes.
If you upload a payment card chargeback report from your own ordering channels (such as your brand’s website, app or phone ordering), we store the customer name, email address and phone number it contains, together with the order and chargeback details in the report. We use the customer name, email address and phone number only to show you the customers with repeated chargebacks and to let you send that list to your franchisor’s fraud team with a request to block further card orders. The order and chargeback details also appear in your refund and chargeback reporting. The list is sent only when you or a user you authorize sends it, and it goes with the sender’s name and email address. We delete the customer name, email address and phone number 12 months after the order date, or within 30 days if you ask us sooner (write to developer@Linkasoarus.com). Copies of a list that was already emailed remain in the recipient’s and the sender’s mailboxes and with our email provider. This information is Customer Data: we process it on your behalf, and we do not use it for our own marketing or for anyone else’s.
Personal and other information you may choose to provide when responding to surveys about the Site will be collected and used for future development of the Site.
We do not display third-party advertising on the Site, and we do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or interest-based advertising. If we send you emails about Linkasoarus, each email tells you how to stop receiving them, and you can also change your preferences in your account settings.
We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service on the Site. If we add one, we will update this Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
We will share information we have collected about you as follows:
If we believe the disclosure of your information is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we will share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal, administrative or judicial demand. We will also exchange information with other entities for fraud protection.
If you interact with other users of the Site, those users will have access to your information, such as your name, profile photo, email address, and descriptions of your activity (ex. Such as liking a post submitted through the Site). Other users never see your Customer Data or Platform Data.
When you post comments, or other content to the Site, your posts are viewable by all users and have capability of being publicly distributed outside the Site in perpetuity by other users.
We do not allow third-party advertising companies to place advertising on the Site, and we do not share your information with advertisers.
Upon receiving your affirmative consent, we will share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
Upon affirmative consent from you we will share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.
We do not sell personal data as defined under applicable laws (including CCPA/CPRA). This includes Customer Data and Platform Data.
If you connect to the Site through a social network (example: you use your Facebook login credentials to log into the Site), your contacts on the same social network will see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity depending on your privacy settings you have chosen through your social networks.
If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, we will transfer your information to the successor entity. If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline to honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.
We are not responsible for the actions of third parties with whom you share personal or sensitive data, and we have no authority to manage or control third-party solicitations. If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk. A session cookie enables certain features of the Site and our service and is deleted from your computer when you disconnect from or leave the Site. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Site. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Site.
Linkasoarus believes your security is very important and we use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

On May 25, 2018, the European Union's ("EU") General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") went into effect. When you create an account with Linkasoarus, we act as the data controller when we collect your personal data such as name, email address, and if you choose to purchase our services, your billing and payment card information. As a data controller, we are required under the GDPR to provide you with certain information at the time we collect personal data from you, which is provided below:

Your personal data is processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy. To the extent you provide us with your personal data in connection with submitting an inquiry to us, the basis of the processing is your consent. Should you choose to create an account with us and provide us with your personal data, the basis for the processing is by contract or where a service or function is optional and you affirmatively consent to the activity, by your consent.
We provide personal data to affiliates and business partners only as set forth in this Privacy Policy, and never to advertisers. We use third-party service providers for hosting our website and servers, payment card processor, and technology partners to provide the necessary software, networking, infrastructure and other services that we use to operate the Site. A list of current processors is provided below:
AWS - Hosting and servers
Elavon - payment card processor
BBI Marketing - customer service and marketing
AKRA POLSKA Sp. z o.o. (Kraków, Poland) - software development and technical support; its developers assigned to Linkasoarus have signed confidentiality and privacy agreements covering all Linkasoarus data
OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) - AI assistance for four features: drafting social media posts (it receives the keywords you enter), drafting replies to customer reviews (the review text, the star rating and the store name, with the reviewer’s name removed), drafting the text of refund disputes (order identifier, order time, reported issue, refunded items, amount charged to the store, the customer’s comment where the platform provides one, and a few of your own past successful dispute texts with all figures removed) and explaining refund patterns (aggregated refund figures). It never receives account credentials or access tokens, and we never send it a customer’s name, address or phone number from a Delivery Platform; a customer’s comment is sent as the customer wrote it. Sharing with OpenAI for model training is turned off on our OpenAI account, so the text is not used to train its models, and OpenAI deletes it within 30 days. OpenAI processes it under OpenAI’s Data Processing Addendum.
Twilio SendGrid (United States) - delivery of account and notification emails, such as review alerts (which include the reviewer’s public name and review text as shown on Google), publishing confirmations and, when you send it, the repeat chargeback customer list
Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) (United States) - error monitoring; when an error occurs it receives the error details and the signed-in user’s email address, IP address and the page requested
Datadog, Inc. (United States) - performance monitoring; it receives request and database timings and the signed-in user’s identifier
All processors are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
The Delivery Platforms and social media providers you connect (for example Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, SkipTheDishes, Meta and Google) are independent controllers of the data they hold. They are not our processors, and their own privacy policies govern what they collect.
When you send the repeat chargeback customer list, it goes to your franchisor’s fraud team together with your name and email address. Your franchisor is a recipient you choose, not our processor.
Personal Data that we collect directly from you or that you provide directly to us is located in the United States. If a transfer of your personal data out of the European Economic Area or EU is required, to a third country or international organization, the transfer will be pursuant to appropriate and suitable safeguards, including execution of the Standard Contractual Clauses as approved by the European Commission.
We maintain the personal data that you provide and we collect until you contact us to request deletion of such information or you terminate your account with the Site. Platform Data from a Delivery Platform is deleted within 30 days of your request (disconnecting alone keeps it, so a reconnection loses nothing), and when your account ends you can choose, within 30 days, to have Customer Data returned or deleted; it is deleted in any case within 30 days after that, as described in our Data Processing Agreement. As an exception, the customer name, email address and phone number from the chargeback reports you upload from your own ordering channels are deleted 12 months after the order date.
EU data subjects have the following data rights:
A right to access to the personal data we have for such data subject;
A right to rectification of incorrect personal data;
A right to erasure of the personal data we have for such data subject;
A right to restriction of processing concerning such data subject;
A right to object to our processing of such personal data;
A right to data portability, that is, a copy of the data we have on such data subject;
A right to withdraw consent at any time to our processing of such data subject's personal data; and
A right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You may exercise your data rights by contacting us, in writing, at the address indicated above.
If you are in Canada, we handle your personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, Quebec’s Law 25. Your personal information may be stored and processed in the United States, where it is subject to U.S. law. You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw your consent, or raise a concern by contacting us at the address below. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information. Our person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at developer@Linkasoarus.com.
